Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then paid off his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in search of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Seekers and Schemers tables.
Fans can anticipate discovering which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
